The right size
16 inches square. Big enough to cuddle under in the stroller, small enough to fit in a diaper bag or a tiny fist.
Hand-crocheted

Why a lovey
A lovey is the blanket a toddler picks out of the pile and drags everywhere. Ours is sized for that job, and built to survive it.
16 inches square. Big enough to cuddle under in the stroller, small enough to fit in a diaper bag or a tiny fist.
The bunny head gives small hands a handle. It's the part they grab when they're tired, and the part they talk to when they're not.
Combed cotton, tight stitches, a locked seam at the neck. Wash it weekly for two years and it still looks like the photo.

How it's made
Ten rounds of granny stitch, worked from the center out, switching yarn every round so the colors ring outward like tree rings.
Head and ears are crocheted in a continuous spiral, stuffed firm, and the face is embroidered by hand. Sleepy eyes, always.
The head is sewn straight through the center square with a double-locked seam, then the whole piece is pull-tested before it's tagged.
The loveys
Clover is here now. Three more friends arrive this fall, one at a time, so each one gets made right.

Safety, in plain words
Handmade doesn't get a pass on safety. Clover is built to the same federal rules the big brands follow, and here is exactly where we are with it.
Pediatric guidance is clear: no soft objects in the crib before 12 months. Clover is for cuddles during awake time until then, and for sleep after. We print this on the tag and in the box, because it matters more than a sale.

Questions
Not yet. This page is a waitlist for a brand that is launching, not a store. Nothing has shipped and there are no reviews because nobody has one. Drop 01 is the first 30 pieces. If you join and change your mind, ignore the email. If we don't reach enough people to make the drop worth it, we'll say so.
Yes. Every lovey is crocheted by hand, start to finish, by one maker. That's why Drop 01 is 30 pieces, not 3,000, and why there's a waitlist instead of a buy button.
Supervised cuddles from birth. In the crib for sleep from 12 months, per AAP safe-sleep guidance. Most kids keep theirs well past preschool.
Yes, and we recommend it. Order two and we make them from the same yarn lot so daycare-Clover and home-Clover are twins.
Send it back, any time, at our cost. We re-stitch it and return it. A lovey should outlast the toddler years, and we stand behind that.
Not yet. Four colorways, four friends, done properly. Embroidered initials are on the list for spring.
A note from the maker
“The first one was for my nephew. His mom sent me a photo six months later: it was grey, a little stretched, and he wouldn't nap without it. That's the whole product. Everything else is just making sure it can take that kind of love.”Founder, Daffy & Dill · Sacramento, California
30 pieces, made one at a time. The waitlist gets 24 hours to claim one before it opens to everyone. Bramble, Fern and Rusty follow this winter.
